Update time

Journal entriesPosted by John Vanek Sun, March 07, 2010 19:22:34

Time for an update at londonbusker land. A new song on myspace at called 'Slipstream'. Not a new song but a new production, a new recording and a chance to recommend Crown Lane Studios in Morden, where John Merriman has done a great job.

I'd also like to recommend Lesley Miriam Gunner's myspace. She is a classically-influenced composer and the latest album is called 'Grace'. You can find her music at

From the Journal of Caspian le Sky

Journal entriesPosted by John Vanek Sun, September 27, 2009 12:50:21

These are the journals of Caspain le Sky and represent the evolutions on a groove.

A fragrance hangs in the air. Don't know if it's from a candle that was alight earlier on in the evening. It's a purifiying fragrance, a scent that comes into its own as the night draws on and the house relaxes into a colder atmosphere, the heating turned down. This is the house that is built upon our acre of diamonds.

Why make plans when you are already standing on an acre of diamonds? Plan only to let the diamonds shine, let them come out from deep in the ground, let others see them, let others know them, let others find their own diamonds.

The cable that enables

Journal entriesPosted by John Vanek Sun, August 16, 2009 22:01:50

We unconsciously move towards the fulfilment of our desires, which is why we should be careful what we wish for.

There is a strong steel cable that we can forge and then cast out link by link from our conscious minds down into the depths of the unconscious. There it will hold fast, grappling onto our profoundest wishes and bringing them to light in the daybreak world of activitity.

The task is to regulate our conscious minds to tighten, loosen and play out the cable. The task is also to programme in conscious thoughts that contain worthwhile and valuable intentions for ourselves and for others. Inevitably, we become the things we wish for. As Lionel Blue states 'we become the things we worship'.

Happening things

Journal entriesPosted by John Vanek Sun, August 16, 2009 21:51:47

The things that are happening are inspiring and formidable. Only by attention to detail, attention to attention and attention to intention have these manifestations been possible.

The outcomes of desire, the outcomes of dreams.

Only by believing without knowing and applying that belief have these outcomes been permitted to come to life. Things that come from deep within us can emerge into the light of day by our belief that they will do so.

It's by applying and renewing that belief, reinforcing that belief, believing that belief that we make it happen. As happen it must when we apply ourselves to the task of making it happen.

The journal is an organisational tool. It enables clarity and the wherewithal to organise thoughts, dreams, aspirations and goals. The journal will permit this even if you as writer may not be doing it consciously. The journal will organise your thoughts and goals and set them in place for the forthcoming day's work and activity. The journal is there to put parameters around things; by its nature the journal will set boundaries. It keeps your plans corralled together in a set place. That's where plans are meant to be - in a place set aside for them where they can take the air, recreate, rest and play. In the morning your plans can migrate to the open plains, watched and released under the careful loving eye of the herdsman.
