I have to be one of those people who believes everything is possible, anything is achievable.
Anything is possible, all is achievable but you have to apply the methodologies which make the achievable come to life in the world. And I'll use anything - anything that doesn't clash with my values, my beliefs and my faith.
I'll read every book, every self-development mentor, every Mosaic tablet, every book of the Bible, every holy book of the great religions, every man-made technique, every insight from every kind of source.
What would it be like to spend a week or better, a month with Richard Branson? What would it be like to get into the mindset of a great achiever? What do these guys do to get their lives on track, to bring their plans to light, to bring their great dreams to fruition? People like Branson are the civil engineers of high achievement. They are Isambard Kingdom Brunels of the fabulous project. They do not fail. And if they do, they use failure as a a lever to rise up again. You can't build a monument without a monumental plan, a monumental hope, a monumental desire. They themselves are living monuments to their own dreams.
There are books to help us. Techniques to guide us. And in the age of the internet, most of this stuff is free. The amazing principles of Charles Haanel and 'The Master Key System', for example. Techniques for manifesting your hopes, dreams and desires.
It seems that the trick is to give the universe, the master force, precise instructions. If you desire a partner with dark hair and blues eyes, ask the universe, ask God to grant your desire - but ask with precision. Dark hair, blue eyes...what else? Be precise. It's your conscious mind that creates and gives the instructions but it's your subconscious, your solar plexus that actively makes these desire come to life in the real world. The real world that is shaped by your new reality. You make your own world.
